Rebecca and Jay Madden are South Carolina natives where they were both born and later married. As a young couple, they weren’t active in their faith. When they decided to start a family, they thought perhaps they should find a church. When their first son died, it was their church family that sustained them through that loss and prayed for the birth and healing of their second child. At a midlife juncture, Jay answered God's call leaving behind the business world. Their journey led them from Chicago to Atlanta where they currently serve at Peachtree Church: Jay as executive pastor and Rebecca as women’s ministry director. Their writing journey began within their cherished journals, chronicling the extraordinary and the ordinary moments where God’s presence shone. Their mission is to inspire others on their faith journey.

Dallas Willard has suggested that the social dimension of a spiritually-mature person is characterized by transparency, and that is exactly what you’ll find in the stories of this book. Each is written with raw, unvarnished, and hope-filled honesty. I applaud Rebecca and Jay for putting so many of their life experiences in story form. You will learn from them about the ongoing dynamic of God’s grace in their lives and how, as Dallas also famously said, it is possible to grow in grace.
