Mindful of Them

When I consider your heavens,the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?  Psalm 8:3-4

When I read these words and think of my own life, I am amazed that the God of the universe is mindful of me. The same sovereign God who was with Joseph in Egypt all those years ago is with me today. These words remind us that the Creator of the universe cares for each and every one of us. Whether we are in times of plenty or in times of want, our God sees us, He is with us, and He works through the events of our life to carry out His purposes.

Prayer

Lord, we are amazed that You are mindful of us! On this day, we ask You to watch over us and guide our steps. Give us the assurance of Your presence in our lives. Help us to see how You are working in and through us. Give us the grace to follow wherever You may lead. Amen.
